The authority has issued a list of allottees for 5,238 flats in some of the poshest colonies in Delhi. Have you got lucky? DELHI DEVELOPMENT Authority (DDA) on Tuesday (December 16), announced the list of 5,238 lucky Delhiites, who applied for the DDA Housing Scheme 2008. Thousands of people gathered outside the DDA headquarters at Vikas Sadan to check their lucky name in the list. (View List ).

In this phase of recession, many a people have been banking on this scheme, which might just help them own a house in some of the poshest areas of Delhi. Several banks have also come forward to provide housing loan to the winners at a lower interest rate. DDA spokesperson Neemo Dhar informed that the authority will issue demand letter to all successful allottes by December 30. “Also we will try to refund all applicants who did not get lucky by December 30,” stated Dhar. Initially the DDA had announced 5010 flats but later it was increased to 5238. “We added 228 more flats where construction was completed,” Dhar said.

These flats are situated in some of the Delhi’s most-wanted colonies, like Rohini, Vasant Kunj, Dwarka, Paschim Vihar, Pitampura, Moia Khan, Dilsad Garden, Narela, Salimar Bagh, Jhilmil, East of Loni Road, Nand Nagari, Peeragarhi, Sarai Khalil, Lok Nayak Puram, Bindapur and Zafrabad.
